About jacob (he/they)

Jacob’s work is about the idea of self through the lens of others. The work evaluates how each person in his life experiences a different version of himself. These versions of him all weave into an entanglement of how he experiences himself. The process of examining these versions of himself allows for him to understand how he sees others and the world around him, purely from evaluating the idea of “self.” Often the photos shown will have multiple versions of himself in an image, all depicting different versions others see of him. Through this work, Jacob is attempting to navigate the indoctrinated view of relationships he used to carry and relate it to his relationship with his own sexuality.
